We learn so much every day. We change every day. Even if you don’t realise it, even if it’s the smallest thing, in another 24 hours, you will be different in some way. Multiply that by 7, making it a week. 168 hours. And try for a year; 8736 hours. So much can happen in just ten minutes. One hour can be a long time. One hour is enough to change somebody’s world. Eight thousand, seven hundred and thirty six hours. It’s a wonder we retain any sanity at all. We mature in that one year, much more than you realise.
Imagine promises made three, four years ago. Who were they directed towards? Why were they made? Have they been fulfilled?
The truth is, most long-term promises and dreams are forgotten before they can be made reality. So these words that we toss around like it’s supposed to mean something, these four words… I love you forever… are made meaningless.
